A Year in the Life of a Reiki Master Candidate
My year of Reiki Master training is something hard for me to put into words. I guess to say what didn’t come up for me would be more appropriate. Many things I thought I knew took on a whole new meaning. Lessons I needed to learn came to the forefront. Aspects and old belief systems needed to be examined and rearranged. In essence I became a new me!
When I began to trust Reiki on every level a sense of liberation swept over me. To feel this free was something that was unfamiliar to me, yet inherently I knew was my birthright.
To live this dance with Reiki has brought me unimaginable joy. Not to say that I don’t occasionally fall back into my, not so good for me ways, but with Reiki by my side I feel like I found my best friend! I’d like to share with you just as I finished that last sentence a rainbow appeared for just a few seconds over the ocean in Hana.
I have learned that Reiki will provide whatever I need as long as I dedicate and commit myself to it whole heartily. To exude this faith and belief that Reiki will consistently be there for me is profound beyond words.
To have been blessed with the most impeccable Reiki Master, Shalandra Abbey, to guide and illuminate my path is an incredible honor. Shalandra lives and breathes Reiki and if I can one day hold a candle to her, it would be all I could hope for.
Without the Grand Masters of Reiki I wouldn’t be writing this announcement. Their energy has given me strength when I was being the most challenged. Their words of wisdom and belief in me has been a powerful force. Thank you Dr. Usui, Dr. Hayashi, Mrs. Takata and Ms. Furumoto for choosing me to be a Reiki Master!
